Welcome 12 pm to 12:10 pm	Everyone: As you enter the Zoom room, please share some information about yourself in the chat, if you would like to. Share one or more of the following: -Your name -Your connection to comics -Your connection to or interest in Graphic Medicine -Where you live/work if you are not in Guilford County Aden: I will introduce myself and state the purpose of the event.
Introduction to Graphic Medicine 12:10 pm to 12:15 pm	Aden: I will introduce the area of comics referred to as “Graphic Medicine”.
Examples of Graphic Medicine 12:15 pm to 12:30 pm	Aden: Sharing titles, summaries, and excerpts of comics, including: Smile, Weirdo, Mister Miracle, No One Else, Health and Wealth, and Mom’s Cancer. Everyone: Share examples of Graphic Medicine (links, book titles, etc.) in the chat.
Our interests in comics and healthcare 12:30 pm to 1 pm, including a 5-10 minute break	Aden: I will share what got me into comics and Graphic Medicine, as well as my most current interests in Graphic Medicine. Everyone: An activity based on the Mini Research Mapping Prompt from Research For Graphic Medicine Workshop – SAW & GMIC Graphic Medicine Summit 2025 (starts at 24:12). Read directions for the activity in the section after the agenda on this page.
Resources in Guilford County and beyond 1 pm to 1:15 pm	Aden: I will share where to find comics, how to get to know comics, where to attend events related to comics, and how this can crossover with health and healthcare. Everyone: Share any other resources in Guilford County, in North Carolina, or where you are that could help someone get into comics and Graphic Medicine. Type in the chat or unmute yourself to share.
What’s next 1:15 to 1:30 pm	Aden: I will share information about the 2026 Graphic Medicine International Conference. Everyone: Discussion on the upcoming conference and sharing your experience if you have attended the conference before.  Aden: I will share dates for relevant upcoming events.
